“All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.” ~ Jim Rohn
Things have moved on at some pace since we first created this website and there have been many catalysts that formed the idea that has become MancSpirit. This week we were proud to be a part of an amazing project that saw the creation of a street mural in Central Manchester which was created as part of the upcoming International Arts and Homeless Summit & Festival. (The image at the top of this article and the image on our banner are photo’s taken of the parts of the completed mural)
But even more than this we can now announce that MancSpirit will be officially launched at a joint “Legacy Event” with our friends at With One Voice. Celebrating new beginnings as we help bring the Festival to a close with the help of some amazing talent.
Although MancSpirit has been designed to bring inspiration to a much wider group of people our work within the Homeless sector, and discussions with the Festival Director, Matt Peacock, have been a major reason for creating the Charity. Having the opportunity to mark this milestone is a concrete pledge that everyone involvedis committed to make MancSpirit happen.
We are in the process of registering as a Charitible Incorporated Organisation and exploring initial start up grants. We also have some incredibly passionate trustees that will ensure that we remain true to our obligations and ensure we are well managed.
Come the new year we will be in a position to trial our workshops in a number of venues and we will be reaching out to the wider Greater Manchester creative community to get on-board and get involved.
It really is an exciting time to join the MancSpirit movement!
