A celebration of art, culture, heritage and grassroots activity.
A series of festivals, supported by GMCA Culture, that will run across all 10 boroughs starting in Trafford and soon after in Wigan, Bury and Stockport. This programme will harness the vibrancy of our local communities in a joint celebration of Art, Culture, Heritage and grassroots activity.
In particular we are working with those who feel marginalised and disenfranchised from festivals and arts events through lack of connection and sense of belonging.
We reach out to smaller community groups and grassroots organisations to offer them a platform to showcase the work they do and how they contribute to the mental wellbeing of the people of Our Greater Manchester.
“Our Trafford”, written and performed by Trafford based singer/songwriter Scott Lloyd. Originally from the North East, Scott made Trafford his home some years back. This track, written specifically for The MancSpirit #OurTrafford Festival does a fantastic job of encapsulating the borough and is a great way of using creativity to stick some smiles on faces.
